The Liberal Democrats were out in force on the march to save Whipps Cross University Hospital from closure for local people.

The Liberal Democrats have a proud record of local campaigning including saving Leyton's historic Library from closure, against fencing off part of Leyton Marshes, reopening the Leyton tip site, protesting against the imposition of Red Routes on High Road Leytonstone and Grove Green Road, improving the condition of the footbridges across the Central Line and the continuing campaign for a complete review of the Leytonstone Shopping Centre one-way system.
