In 2002, Government auditors rated Labour-run Waltham Forest as one of the worst in the country - a one star, failing council. Since then Liberal Democrats have increased the number of their councillors and are the only party to have councillors in all parts of our borough, helping to improve life for local people. The Government now rates the Council as an improving three star council. Lib Dems have done so well that last week the top Tory on the Council even suggested that a Liberal Democrat councillor should lead the Council! A political gesture, or a realisation that Lib Dems really do make a difference!
