The Government has proved, once again, that it is out of touch with reality by listing George Mitchell School as a failing school. How bonkers can you get? Recent inspections by Government officials found that the school was outstanding in many of the things it does. The Government's own value added score lists the school as one of the best in the country. We should be proud of schools like George Mitchell and insist that the Government gets its act together. We will be asking the Education Minister to visit the school to find out for himself what a mistake he has made. He should be congratulating the Head, staff and the pupils for their excellent work.
