Tom Hood School

Waltham Forest Council is planning to combine Cann Hall and Tom Hood Schools into one all-through school. This will mean a new name has to be found for the 'new' school. Both schools are keen to involve the local community in this process. We need a name that everyone understands, that gives us all a sense of ownership and that gives use a feeling of pride in the name.

Ideas to consider include: -

1 a famous local person,

2 a known scientific or environmental person due to the school's

Science status,

3 a local geographical or historical feature,

4 a 'grand' sounding name.

If you want to suggest a name for the school, please send it to Clyde Kitson, 61 Matcham Road, Leytonstone, E11 3LA, giving reasons for your choice
