Kate Garrett your Liberal Democrat candidate for Wanstead Ward

Local Focus Editor Kate Garrett has been chosen by the Liberal Democrats to contest the forthcoming by-election in Wanstead Ward which is caused by the death of Cllr. Allan Burgess. She lives locally and knows the area, Kate is an assistant building site manager who lives locally in Blake Hall Road with her partner, a teacher in a local Redbridge school. Her job means that she is particularly interested in housing and planning. Her other interests are services to children and elderly people and green issues. Experienced and hard working Cllr. Hugh Cleaver leader of the Liberal Democrats on the Council says: "I am delighted that Kate is our candidate. She will make a great local councillor. She knows the area well and knows how to deal with the Council as editor of the popular Focus newsletter. Kate is experienced and hard working and with your support, will help the Lib Dems to represent the residents of Wanstead Ward on the council".
