7.00.00pm GMT Sat 7th Nov 2009

Many, many thanks to those of you that replied to the CPZ consultation in the Thatched House/Crownfield Road area. 3654 letters were sent out with some 583 completed and returned. The results are listed below.

Roads in favour of the CPZ:-

Amethyst, Crownfield, Downsell, Drapers, Ellingham, Langthorne, Leslie, North and South Birkbeck, Morris, Stewart and Victoria.

Roads against the CPZ:-

Brierley, Burgess, Gilbert, Hall, Leytonstone High Road, Oakland and UnionClose.

Of the two people who voted in Snowberry Close one voted for and one against; so it was a 50/50 split. There were no responses from Leyton High Road, Buttermere Close, Thorne Close nor Dunmow Road. The vast majority of people wanted the CPZ to operate from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am to 6.30pm. Residents of Downsell, Stewart and Drapers Road will be pleased to know that a 'one way' system is being seriously considered as part of this consultation. The Focus Team will be meeting with council officers to discuss the results of the consultation and will keep you informed of the outcome.
