Abbas Yousaf

Abbas Yousaf was brought up in Leyton living in Grove Green ward. He went to Newport and Leyton County High schools followed by Waltham Forest College. Coming from a working class background his family has had a number of businesses in Leyton. He presently runs a building company and this has undertaken some of the historic refurbishment of the old Leyton Town Hall. He has established good relationships with local companies and has contributed to the local economy in Leyton through employing local staff. He is a keen Focus team campaigner and still lives with his family in Grove Green.

Neal Chubb

Neal Chubb is an experienced campaigner, having been a councillor in the past. He is a staunch environmentalist and is particularly interested in the appearance of our surroundings. A stickler for detail, Neal is a force to be reckoned with when taking up issues on behalf of local people - as many council officers have found! Neal is a governor at Dawlish Primary School.

Paul Olford

Paul Olford was born locally, in Lindley Road, and attended Newport Infant and Junior Schools. Paul has been a tenant representative for many years, campaigning for better living conditions for tenants.

Although Paul's main interest is in housing, he is also a campaigner for a better local environment and in the reduction of hate crimes. As a disabled person, Paul is only too aware of the difficulties faced by other disabled people and would like to see them have the opportunity to play a more active role in local democracy.
